Looking for a good time this weekend?

Our friends at the Black Hills German Goodtime Club are sponsoring their Oktoberfest Friday and Saturday at the Palmer Gulch KOA campground (map here).  We've attended this in the past, and it's a great time to be had! For more details, check this page.

There is also the annual Dakota Polka Festival held in the Canyon Lake Senior Center. More information here.

Look out Fort Collins, the Rushmore German Club's coming to town!

We hear there's an Oktoberfest in your Old Town Square, and the Denver Kickers will be in attendance, so that'll certainly be something to look forward to!  Regulars of the German tent may know that our beloved accordion-slinging troubadour Rick Borger was once a Denver Kicker. In fact, he and his brother Walt displayed their schuhplattler skills a number of times this year on the dance floor.  We have video somewhere, we should get that posted.

Oh, and you say the town boasts a number of breweries as well? Golly gee, whatever shall we do with our time?

Hope you're ready for us...

It's the final two days of Sommerfest!

Today and Saturday are your last two chances to come to the 2010 Sommerfest!
We still have a few commemorative steins available, so be sure to pick yours up before someone else does.

Rick Borger and the Average German Band will hit the stage at 7pm, cover charge is $5.

On a sadder note, we regretfully inform the public that we have sold completely out of the Schell Light and the Oktoberfest beers.  We knew they'd be a hit, but we had no idea just how popular they'd be with everyone. Lessons have been learned, and we promise to make sure enough is ordered next year to satisfy our thirsy crowds! Rest assured, we have plenty of the Schell's Original Deer brand and the Dark varieties, as well as MGD.

Fun fact: During the week of Sommerfest, the German Tent sells more kegs of Schell beer than anyone else in the entire country. In fact, they released the Oktoberfest early for us! If you liked it, be on the lookout for it in bottles at your favorite liquor store.
