UPDATE---RGC social Sunday, June 12

All members are invited to the German club's next social, to be held at he elk creek resort and campground. This will be a potluck, so bring your favorite dish or dessert, the club will take care of the beer and beverages.

Kids are welcome, and encouraged to bring their swimsuits. For more information, DO NOT call Andy Marso because he will be out of town. Instead, you should call Carl Wahl, Sr.

ACHTUNG! Meeting this Thursday!

If you're a member, you should have been called by the calling committee, but just in case, the Sommerfest committee will meet this Thursday at 5pm at the Ramkota Inn just off I-90 and LaCrosse. The front desk will direct you to where you need to go if you say you're with the German Club.

After the Sommerfest meeting, there will be a general membership meeting at 7pm.

Come celebrate National Homebrew Day May 7

Do you like beer? Silly question, but if you like real beer, May 7 has been designated as National Homebrew Day. German Club board member Andy Marso is an avid homebrewer, and has invited everyone to his house to celebrate the fine art of home brewing. There will be demonstrations of the brewing process, as well as food (bring something along!), camaraderie, and of course, beer!

Come to 4021 Minnekahta Dr. (Just off canyon lake drive, four streets north of Jackson blvd.) this Saturday; things will start around noon. Call Andy or Jayne at 718-9557 for more info. We hope to see you there!

You're invited to the 1st annual Rapid City/Apolda Pfannkuchen fest fundraiser

Everyone is cordially invited to a German bake sale with door prizes to be held at the downtown Rapid City VFW Post #1273, 420 Main St.

When : May 15, 2011 9:00AM-1:00PM
Cost : 5$ for 11 years old and up
3$ for 6-10 years old
FREE for under 6 years old

Bring your family and friends!!

Pancakes, Sausage links, Ham, juice, water, coffee will be served.

This fundraiser is to help offset costs for hosting visitors from Apolda, including: Students/Teachers, Firemen, Police, Medical personnel, City government personnel, and any other interested citizens.

Tickets will be available at the door or can be purchased from any Apolda Sister City board member in advance.
