STRUT YOUR STUFF AT THE TENT!

We are pleased to announce that we will host the the Fair's first all-ages “Chicken Games” to be held at the Familiar Blue-and-White Tent at the Central States Fairgrounds on Wednesday, August 20 at 5pm.
These events, organized by the Fair's own poultry barn, are a fun family friendly way to get crazy! Jeanine Bockwold, poultry barn superintendant, states, “Last year we had our 3rd Annual Rooster Crowing contest, and also added the Fur and Feather Fashion Show, Chick-Olympics for kids, which included egg races, egg toss, and the chicken scratch. Also we did our first Strut, Cluck and Crow contest ...the object is to do the best impression of chicken and or rooster. I kept thinking how this would be so much fun if it was combined with the German tent!”
We agree, and we'll see you there!

Well, it's been a while!
The club recently received an email from a student at Trier, Germany asking for help with a research project. I'll post her email here so Members can help her out:
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a student at the University of Trier, Germany and am currently conducting research for my dissertation on “Heritage Tourism”.
If I could kindly ask you to take a few minutes of your time to complete and send back the attached questionnaire to help my research, I would be very grateful.
Please click on the following link:
SURVEY LINK
The questionnaire is on the subject of travel to Germany and is aimed at Americans of German descent - it will only take a few minutes to complete. All information will, of course, remain confidential.
With warm regards and many thanks in advance.
Sarah Heitz
PS. If you know any other persons of German descent (members in your club) I would be very grateful if you could forward this email to them. Thank you!!!
I'm sure we can help her out!
On the horizon, be sure to remember that the next general membership meeting is on May 17. Also, let's start thinking about 2008 stein designs!
Prost,
Travis
